Dear Jason,

I've been participating in this play called "Fires in the Mirror" and I had recently gained the opportunity to interview an individual named Roslyn Malamud who was a resident of the Lubavitch community. You could tell she was upset with the police during the riots as the sergeant told the police officers outside to duck and her response was "...then what am I supposed to do?" given the fact that these trained men with weapons are ducking during a riot so how is she supposed to protect herself? She felt pretty confident in her tone and dressed flashy, yet still resembling a wealthy middle class white lady. Roslyn was also very big on making sure that she portrayed her views in regards to saying how dumb the conflict between these two groups were because "it's not like normal people drive cars into seven year old boys" so the originating factor that caused this is explainable. Overall, I enjoyed interviewing her because she had very good points in general. In the play, in order to represent her effectively I plan to be a very stern women in the play who advocates for the destruction of this tension as I will dress like an upper class Lubavitch woman.

Cheers,

Alan
